Statement of Practice

Heather C. Johnston is an attorney in the Real Estate Transactions Department of Trainor Fairbrook. Ms. Johnston’s practice focuses on commercial real estate matters related to the acquisition and development of real property including purchase and sale agreements, title matters, easements and CC&Rs, commercial condominium conversions and leasing.

As part of her transactional real estate practice, Ms. Johnston has experience negotiating and preparing letters of intent, option agreements, purchase agreements, leases and lease amendments, assignments, work letters, reciprocal easement agreements, and other related documents. Ms. Johnston also regularly prepares finance documents including promissory notes and deeds of trust typically related to seller financing or loan modifications.

Ms. Johnston served as a consultant for the parties, interest and premises chapter of the book, Ground Lease Practice published by the California Continuing Education of the Bar in 2009. She has given presentations on commercial condominium conversions for several real estate industry groups.
