Statement of Practice

Maureen Lenihan is Of Counsel with the law firm of Trainor Fairbrook. She has been practicing employment law and general business litigation in the greater Sacramento area since 1983.

Throughout her professional career, Ms. Lenihan’s practice has focused on litigation with an emphasis in labor and employment law, business and professional malpractice. She specializes in representing management in employment matters before state and federal courts, as well as matters before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other state and federal administrative agencies. She routinely counsels employers regarding alleged harassment in the work place, employee rights of privacy, wage and hour practice, discipline and dismissal, accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and numerous other employment-related issues. She provides assistance in drafting and revising employment manuals and administrative policies.

Ms. Lenihan represents business owners in litigation matters involving business disputes, lease obligations, business torts and other issues related to the business entity. Ms. Lenihan has represented clients from a variety of different industries, including healthcare, accounting, architecture, agriculture, consulting and engineering, with employment and business litigation matters. Ms. Lenihan is admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Eastern and Northern Districts of California. Ms. Lenihan has served as a Pro Tem Judge for the El Dorado Superior Court.
