After years of intense litigation and the completion of two and a half months of trial, John Fairbrook, Dan Steinberg and the Trainor Fairbrook litigation team recovered $20,000,000.00 for the Cachil Dehe Band of Wintun Indians of the Colusa Indian Community of the Colusa Rancheria, California aka Colusa Indian Community. The subject litigation involved significant construction defects at the Hotel and Casino Expansion. Despite the numerous identified defects, Hunt Construction Group refused to take responsibility for the construction defects. As a result of Hunt Construction Group’s refusal to take responsibility, the matter proceeded to trial, resulting in a final resolution of the claims wherein the Defendants paid $20,000,000.00 to the Colusa Indian Community.
