John Fairbrook will serve as a co-panelist at the 28th annual State Bar of California Real Property Section Retreat. The panel discussion will provide a trial lawyer’s perspective on the scope and effect of arbitration provisions. Issues that will be examined include waiver of the constitutional right to a jury trial, types of arbitration provisions, cost of arbitration verses litigation, advantages and disadvantages of arbitration, and the Federal Arbitration Act’s impact on arbitration provisions and the California Arbitration Act.
