Nancy Hotchkiss is a partner in the firm’s Property Management and Bankruptcy Departments. Her primary area of practice is litigation involving the enforcement of creditors’ rights.
Ms. Hotchkiss handles all aspects of loan enforcement matters, including both foreclosure proceedings and receivership actions, and she carefully and aggressively safeguards and pursues the rights of the lender in those proceedings. She also handles lease enforcement litigation for landlords on all issues concerning the management of commercial properties, and her clients include large and small property owners and managers throughout California.
Ms. Hotchkiss is an “AV® Preeminent™” rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and has been honored by the independent publication Northern California Super Lawyers Magazine since 2005. In addition, she was the first Sacramento area attorney to obtain national board certification in business bankruptcy law by the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification, and was honored in 2010 by CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Sacramento with its coveted “Woman of Impact” Award for her contributions to the real estate industry and her mentoring of others.
She is a frequent speaker for various professional groups and currently serves as the President for the California Receivers Forum. She has also served as president of the Barrister’s Club of Sacramento, president of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Sacramento, and vice president of the Real Estate Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association.
