Trusts and Estates Attorney

We are seeking a full-time attorney with 5+ years of estate planning experience to join our estate planning department. The successful candidate must be versed in formulating estate plans for mid to high-net-worth clients and drafting revocable trusts and irrevocable trusts, as well as managing complex trust and estate administrations. Experience in drafting pleadings and making court appearances in estate and trust matters before the probate court is strongly preferred. The position requires superior analytical, communication, drafting, writing, and research skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member. The firm places a premium on career growth.

About the Candidate:

• Licensed to practice law in California

• Experience with Federal and California law

• Knowledge of and/or experience with generation-skipping transfer tax planning

• Knowledge of and/or experience with fiduciary income tax issues

• Experience in handling probate matters, including preparing and filing motions and trust litigation, preferred

• Demonstrated success in helping to build and manage client relationships

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Transactional Real Estate Attorney

We are looking for an associate attorney to join our top-rated real estate team. This position works with shareholders on significant and complex commercial real estate and business transactions throughout California. Hands-on, broad-based general real estate experience is necessary. Candidates must be self-motivated, with a strong commitment to superior client service and excellent work product. Outstanding academic and professional credentials are a prerequisite. Candidates must be admitted to practice in California.

General responsibilities include representation of clients in commercial real estate matters related to the acquisition, ownership and disposition of real property, including purchase and sale transactions, development, financing, leasing, title matters, easements and CC&Rs.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • 3+ years transactional experience in Commercial Real Estate law.
  • Knowledge of loan processes, escrow and real estate documentation.

Transactional Real Estate Paralegal

We are looking for a paralegal to join our top-rated real estate team. Significant experience with and passion for commercial real estate transactions is a prerequisite. This position will support the Firm’s major clients working with top Real Estate attorneys on large commercial transactions. Position will require strong organizational and analytical skills with superior attention to detail. This individual must work well under pressure and be able to prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.

General responsibilities include assisting attorneys in preparing and reviewing letters of intent, purchase and sale contracts, loan documents, leases, license agreements, easements, deeds, organizational charts, secretary of state filings and fictitious business name filings.  You will assist attorneys in conducting title review, prepare related title objection notices or responses and work closely with escrow officers and title underwriters.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Undergraduate degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA Accredited Program.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Real Estate law.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of loan processes, escrow and real estate documentation.
  • Extensive experience working directly with clients.
  • Excellent analytical, legal research, drafting and writing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed  behavior.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Superior organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Litigation Attorney

We are looking for a litigation attorney to join our top-rated legal team. This position is for an experienced trial attorney who will represent non-insurance based clients in all aspects and phases of commercial real estate and business litigation throughout California.  Typical cases include disputes involving commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, failure to disclose issues, partition actions as well as other business disputes.  Experience with pragmatic and creative resolutions is required.  Significant time is spent counseling clients on legal matters.  Candidates must be self-motivated and responsive, with a strong commitment to superior client service and excellent work product.  Outstanding academic and professional credentials are a prerequisite.
